A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata, or the heart chakra.
This mala is made with 6mm high-quality Rose Quartz and Labradorite stone beads. The guru bead is Labradorite. Labradorite is a stone of transformation and change. It enhances your strength of will and feelings of inner worth. Labradorite has a luminescent quality to it which shifts with how the light hits it (check out the photos to see for yourself). Rose Quartz is a stone of unconditional love and peace. It is a vital stone for balancing the heart chakra, purifying and opening the heart at all levels to allow for deep inner healing and self-love. The tassel is pink. The mala is strung on nylon thread and hand knotted between each stone.
Pink is the color that represents Breast Cancer and grey is the color that represents Brain Cancer. This mala can be used to show support for awareness of these diseases.
***Each mala is made by hand and due to the nature of using natural materials, yours will look slightly different than the one pictured. Rest assured that I will create a mala that is just as gorgeous and original to you.***
